Medwaiver 101...Misery Loves Company 

For Parents with Children 3-years-old and Up

Have you been meaning to sign your child up for the Medwaiver, but never found the time? Have you tried to do the application and gave up? In that case…..this event is for you!

Join your friends at Gold Coast while we all fill out the (rather confusing) application together. You’ll have an evening of laughs AND go home with the application done!

Are you not aware of what the Medwaiver is?

The Medicaid Waiver is money that will pay for services for people with developmental disabilities. Some of the services provided include speech therapy, behavior analysis, and respite services. When your child is older, the Medwaiver pays for companions, supported employment, supported living, and training programs. Both adults and children over the age of three are eligible for the Medicaid waiver. The person must be a Florida resident and a US Citizen or Resident Alien.

There is a currently a waiting list of about 7-10 years to receive the Medicaid waiver, so it is critical that you add your child’s name to the list as soon as possible.
