FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM.

Pre-K-Lower Elementary Group


Welcome to Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization’s premier education program!  This hugely popular program provides a holistic approach to ensuring your child’s success in school by focusing on academics, advocacy, behavior and social interaction.

 The Family Education Program involves the whole family.

  • Parents attend 90 minute workshops.
  • Children participate in Facilitated Educational Play led by two teachers.

Eight Sessions are held on Saturdays once a month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

at GCDSO Resource Center. 


The Family Education Program costs $200 for the year.

Scholarships are available if needed.


The PreK to Lower Elementary group will focus on:

  • Teaching reading using a curriculum based on 30 years of research
  • Providing parents with materials they can use at home
  • Giving parents hands-on instruction at every class on how to use the materials
  • Sharing best practices for managing behavior
  • Creating opportunities to meet and share with other parents
