FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM

High School to Age 22 Group


  Welcome to Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization’s premier education program! This hugely popular program provides a holistic approach to ensuring your child’s success in life by focusing on social interaction, language skills, and various transition topics.

 The Family Education Program involves the whole family.

  • Parents attend 90 minute workshops.

  • Teens participate in Facilitated Social activities.

Eight Sessions are held on Thursdays once a month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 at GCDSO Resource Center. 


The Family Education Program costs $200 for the year.

Scholarships are available if needed.



The High School group will focus on:  

  • Skills needed for adulthood
  • Transition topics such as Social Security, Guardianship, Vocational Rehabilitation, and more
  • Creating opportunities to meet and share with other parents
